How to get to the Pennine Exhibition Centre, where to park and stay, and the accessibility services on site.

Northway Roads Expo 2027 takes place in Halls 2 and 3 of the Pennine Exhibition Centre in central Manchester, on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 June 2027.

Getting there by train

Manchester Piccadilly is a 12-minute walk from the venue and has direct trains from London Euston (2 hours 10 minutes), Birmingham New Street (1 hour 30 minutes), Leeds (55 minutes) and Glasgow (3 hours 15 minutes). Free shuttle buses run from the Piccadilly station approach every 10 minutes from 8:15 to 10:30 and from 15:30 to 18:00.

By tram

The Pennine Centre tram stop is directly outside the main entrance. Trams run every 6 minutes from Piccadilly, Victoria and Deansgate-Castlefield.

By air

Manchester Airport is 25 minutes from the venue by train to Piccadilly, with trains every 10 minutes. From there, take the free shuttle bus or the tram.

By taxi

The taxi rank and the drop-off point for ride-hailing services are on Exhibition Way, next to the north entrance. A taxi from Piccadilly station takes about 8 minutes.

By car

The venue is signed from junction 3 of the M602. The multi-storey car park on Exhibition Way has 1,400 spaces at £14 per day; pre-booking online saves 20%. There are 40 electric vehicle charging bays on level 1, which must be booked with the car park.

By bike

Secure covered cycle parking for 200 bikes is next to the north entrance, and the venue has showers and lockers that attendees can use for free.

Where to stay

The expo has negotiated rates at six hotels within a 15-minute walk, from £119 per night including breakfast. Rates are available until 30 April 2027 or until sold out. Book them through the hotel link in your registration confirmation email.

Accessibility

All halls are step-free and the venue has accessible toilets on every level and a Changing Places facility near Hall 2. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be borrowed free of charge from the information desk; reserve one in advance at access@northwayroads.example.

Carers and personal assistants attend free of charge with the person they support: add them when you register. Assistance dogs are welcome and a relief area is signposted outside the north entrance.

Keynote Theatre and Strategic Roads sessions have live captions on screen. A quiet room is available all day next to the information desk.

Food and drink

Cafés and food stalls are open throughout the halls. Free drinking water stations are at every theatre: bring a refillable bottle. The networking drinks on 8 June run from 17:00 to 19:00 in Hall 3 and are free for all attendees.

Cloakroom and luggage

A staffed cloakroom by the main entrance takes coats and small suitcases for £3 per item. Larger luggage can be left with the venue's concierge.

First aid and lost property

A first aid room staffed by paramedics is next to the information desk in Hall 2. Lost property is held at the information desk during the expo and with venue security for 30 days afterwards.
